The one thing I am passionate about...
This is a rather tricky question. What moves me most is what I do in my work: show parents how to enjoy their children's learning and let them play, how being quiet and watching is sometimes more important that directing or dictating, how to enjoy the moment for themselves and their kids. I want to make whatever small differences children's lives that I can, giving them a love of what they can do and of their own creative spirit.
I typically spend my leisure time
Outdoors: walks, hikes, canoeing, kayaking, sailing. Very much a water baby.Cultural: museums and galleries, good music venues classical to blues.Sports: I'm a fan of college football and basketball, the Braves, and Red Sox for baseball, would love to have time to learn to play golf.
The most influential person in my life has been
The ability to be open, honest and emotionally committed.
The first thing people notice about me
People have told me it is that I am appraochable, have a warmth and glow about me that attracts me to them.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Founding Brothers by Joseph Ellis. Historical analysis of the relationship among Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Hamilton, and others as the United States took shape. Ellis has a gift for making history easily accessible and understandable.
