More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Creativity, adventure, learning new things, exploring

I typically spend my leisure time

Lately, I've been taking random dance classes (Samba, Salsa, Tango, Bollywood etc) and drumming classes (dounbek and djimbe). I produce/compose electronic music - some of it for $ some of it for the artistic thrill of creation. I like to read classic avant-garde /counter culture literature and watch high brow/lowbrow movies. I like random adventures: day hikes, sea kayaking, paragliding - anything that sounds like fun. I like to explore the city: going on historic architecture tours and stopping by random thrift stores/swap meets ethnic restaurants and grocery stores.

The most influential person in my life has been

If youre smart, and you make me laugh you're in. You must be NICE. I prefer the company of interesting intellectuals, people with style and refined taste. Eccentricity is cool if it's fun and playful. Maybe balance that out with a Chill and down to earth side. -And Good communication, stability, and responsibility are ideal.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm a smart, funny and unconventional. I'm laid back and slightly shy at first but I have a fun playful side that's bubbling beneath the surface.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Mysticism of Sound and Music" was a nice sufi book about "vibes"; it's from the 1920's and anticipates string theory in an interesting way. It also relates to art and creativity and warns against inadvertanly passing bad vibes along through creative works. I also read some fun intersting books about Toaist breathing, Film as Subversive Art, a Chinese outlaw epic, I'm a total book worm so I could go on and on.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. health
  2. happiness
  3. family, friends, love, identity, freedom, & the intangibles

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm an idealist with a good heart.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Intelligent, Sweet

A little more about me

I've only been out of the country once, but I went around the world. It was a solo trek: I hiked with mountain Gorillas in Uganda, white water rafted the Nile, swam with dolphins off the coast of Zanzibar, hiked in Nepal, and etc. I want to tour South America in the next year or two.
