More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

When selecting my major, I was stuck between my passion for nursing and education. I love teaching and caring for people. I work in labor and delivery and the care of mom and babies. I love the family dynamics and teaching aspects assosciated with reassuring and teaching new parents.

I typically spend my leisure time

when I am not sleeping or working, I like to spend some time reading, exercising, golfing, hiking, going to see a baseball game or movie. I like to hang out with friends and travel

The most influential person in my life has been

I think honesty and loyalty are the most important in any relationship.

The first thing people notice about me

I am kind hearted and take risks

The last book I read and enjoyed

My sister's keeper is the last novel I read. The story is about a 12 year old girl who is the donor match for her older sister who has leukemia. The sister hires a lawyer to represent and defend her independence from forced donor treatment for her sister. The story is told from all character perspectives including both sisters, the parents, the lawyer; they reflect on the moral and ethical dilemma. I enjoyed reading and listening to all the character views debated throughout the novel. The ethical dilemmas and advance directives occur in my work place. The novel encourages you to reevaluate your own beliefs.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my parents' support no matter where the future takes me
  2. my degree and accomplishment of finishing nursing school
  3. my career and new home and independence in san diego

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am not perfect and I make mistakes. I think initially i come off as a perfectionist, but in reality I am not.
