More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about my relationship with Christ and serving Him. I am committed to daily improvement in my walk with Christ through prayer, Bible Study, the fellowship of other believers, and using my gifts of mercy, teaching, preaching, and service. I spend time alone for reflection and refreshment, but thouroughly enjoy the relationships that God has allowed me to establish. I get an emotional charge when I am able to sit down with others, listen to what is on their hearts, and have an opportunity to share with them an encouraging word that enables them to continue in their faith or to discover Biblical truth.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy getting together with friends. I also like to read.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am not just looking for someone who is a believer in Christ, I would like to meet someone who is growing daily in their relationship with Him, who is active in their faith, and genuine.

The first thing people notice about me

I can be pretty intense about my relationship with Christ (maybe "passionate" would be a better word). Its hard for me not to eventually mention God or His Word in conversations, because He is such an integral part of my life.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Two books that I've read recently and that have really impacted me are Joyce Meyer's: "Battlefield of the Mind" and Charles Swindol's "Living Above the Level of Mediocrity". Both have highlighted the importance of "being transformed by the renewing of my mind."

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My salvation through fatih in Christ Jesus
  2. My family and upbringing in the church
  3. My friends and their support and commitment

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I have to daily surrender to Christ just like everyone else. Just because I'm a minister doesn't mean I've arrived. I must choose to die to the flesh and live / walk in the Spirit daily.
