The one thing I am passionate about...
I love the outdoors: walking, running, hiking, camping, and campfires. One exception - I hate being cold. What am I doing in Utah? I have no issues getting down and dirty in the outdoors and if I do say so myself, I look pretty hot in the process ;-).
I typically spend my leisure time
Walking, listening to music, bubble baths, watching a couple select TV shows, sitting in the sauna reading a good book, exercising. I will get that marathon done someday, want to train with me for next October?
The most influential person in my life has been
Unintentionally I've been building a checklist in my head of qualities I'm looking for. My only saving grace is that I haven't put that list on paper. Most important? Integrity and passion.
The first thing people notice about me
This is appearance related, but I get a lot of comments about my smile. Aside from that? people tend to make a quick assumption that I am well educated but I'm not sure exactly what I do to portray that.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I have many books in partially finished states. I should really buckle down and read them. The last book I read was for my neighborhood girl's night out book club - New Moon. It was about a vampire and a teenage girl who fall in love and how they have to keep a physical distance so he doesn't kill her. A bit of fluff, but relaxing.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My son; so cute, thoughtful, funny, sweet, I couldn't love him more. My greatest gift.
- My career; I love what I do and all the wonderful people I get to interact with.
- My parents and brothers/sisters who have stood by me and been my friends through all the difficulties and spectacular moments of my life
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
People don't realize that I'm a "granola girl" at heart. I love meditating, organic foods, natural medicine, nature, etc. Obviously I don't overdo it or it wouldn't surprise people.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Genuine, Happy, Intelligent
A little more about me
I am very spiritual and in a bit of a searching phase. I was raised LDS/Mormon and haven't practiced for the past 10 years or so. I recently started attending an LDS ward, accepted a calling teaching children, and am trying to work that back into my life. It's challenging, scary, and fulfilling.
