The one thing I am passionate about...
I get passionate about relationships. I feel like I've spent my whole life "waiting", but it's made me a very patient person. If a guy starts calling me every day or even several times a week, that's too strong. Once a week is best for the first 3 or 4 weeks. I need time to process what I'm getting to know about him and I need to know that he's not easily controlled. I need to know that he has standards of his own and a life of his own. I like to be reassured. "Yes, I enjoyed this date and I want to take you to a game next weekend." Bars are not really my social arena. I prefer dinners, movies, baseball, softball, hiking, biking, etc.
I typically spend my leisure time
Depends: last year I had a strong drive to read The Devine Comedy, Goddesses in Every Woman, Tolstoy's The Kingdom of God is Within You, etc. This year watching TV.
The most influential person in my life has been
Stability. I've been a traveler, I'm looking for someone that can ground me, someone that calms my troubled seas.
The first thing people notice about me
They say that I am a strong person, but I don't see it. I do a little more now, but I didn't used to.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Jean Shinoda Bolan, MD, Goddesses in Every Woman. About goddesses as inner images and activing the goddesses. It helped me make sense of parts of me that are too assertive and too passive and helped me to understand a new way of thinking to control these architypal images in my life. Sometimes now for meditation I imagine convening at a roundtable with Artemis, Athena, Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Persephone, and beautiful Aphrodite, but I am the head of the table. I am delegating the meeting. I issue roles and requests.Don't let this intimidate you. This is why I need a strong and confident man.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I started life with a lot of baggage. I stayed independent and sorted thru the baggage on my own w/o involving a spouse and children.
- I was loyal to the Mormon Church for 25 years. I no longer affliliate with it, but the lifestyle protected me from a lot of regret.
- I have done, traveled, and experienced a lot in life. I am glad that I had the courage to do it, even on my own.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I'm not as strong as I put off.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Creative, Loyal, Physically Fit
A little more about me
I wish I was funny. I'm looking for someone who can make me laugh.
