More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am equally passionate about my job (teaching), music, and issues concerning people in general. My job is teaching college English, and I always feel really blessed that I have this job and that I am capable of doing it well. I've always been interested in language arts and I like the idea that I can help so many students become better writers and get paid for it.Playing and writing music is something I've done for most of my life and I love the expression, beauty and challenge of instrumental (mostly jazz) music.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, working on music, exercising, working on my house and (sometimes I hate to admit it) watching TV.

The most influential person in my life has been

Sincerity.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm sociable and friendly.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm reading Tortuga, by Rudolfo Anaya. I've taught Bless Me Ultima and I like the way Anaya captures the Mexican-American culture and entertains the reader.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My job.
  2. My health.
  3. The good people in my life.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm sensitive. This is something that people discover and seem to like later on.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Genuine, Intelligent, Physically Fit

A little more about me

I feel odd being on eharmony, but I thought it would be interesting to do it.
