The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm relatively new to Boston. I love exploring new places, whether it is an unfamiliar neighborhood in Boston, a new state park, or even a new country. I also enjoy a good movie (funny with a romantic twist is always appropriate, but a good action flick can be entertaining as well), good book (it's gotta make me think), or a fun conversation with friends. I am passionate about the important things in life-- equality, justice, love, religion. I know... cheesey. Oh, and sushi. I'm passionate about sushi.
I typically spend my leisure time
I'm training for the Hustle Up the Hancock in Chicago, a 94 story climb up a skyscraper-- not because I love climbing, but because I'm looking for an emotional high that I haven't gotten since I did a 30 hour dance marathon in college. In addition, I'm raising money for the American Lung Association, as I have friends who struggle with lung disease.
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm not looking to get married tomorrow, but I am interested in finding someone to spend quality time with... and if it works out in the long run, that's great. My idea of perfection is an intelligent, attractive Christian man who will take me out on the town on a Saturday night but will also take me to church Sunday morning. Think he exists? I sure hope so!
The first thing people notice about me
I'm bold. If I have a thought, I'm probably gonna say it out loud... sometimes I wish I had better control of that, but it is a very noticable part of my personality. I think there definitely has to be a physical attraction between two people if it's going to work in the long run... but that doesn't mean I'm looking for Brad Pitt.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I just finished a book called Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne. I think I highlighted about half of it because I loved it so much. It's basically the story of Shane's life and how he is trying to live Revolutionarily, in the way that Jesus would have lived. I really enjoyed his commentary on how absolutely anyone could follow a similar path without trying too hard.
