More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

People! I am fascinated by human behavior. Learning and teaching are also pivotal in my 'world of passionate things' too.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading is my favorite leisure time activity when I am alone. Although I am a social creature, being engrossed in a book is truly satisfying. Sharing and discussing books makes reading even better!Dining out and experiencing new foods is quite enjoyable, especially when in good company of others who share the interest. Physical activites are important to me: running, walking, hiking, exploring - all are 'tops' on my list.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone loving, adoring, affectionate, fun, honest and professionally motivated.

The first thing people notice about me

My laugh, I think - or perhaps my energy.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Wow - the last book I read had an enormous impact on me. It's called A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hosseini. His first, The Kite Runner, was told from the perspective of a young, rich boy growing up in Afganistan through the Russian invasion & the infiltration of the Taliban, into the American rescue efforts. Powerful stuff. A Thousand Spledid Suns is his second one, and while it has the same setting, it is told through the eyes of a poor girl and her devastating struggles to survive as she grows into womanhood. It was incredibly distrubing and had me weeping several times. These novel are not for the weak!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children are the gifts for which I am most grateful.
  2. I am thankful for my capabilities.
  3. I am blessed with a lively family.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm sensative. It's not a 'noticable' trait, so it'd be great if it were visiable!

Friends Describe me as

Passionate, Perceptive, Physically Fit, Spontaneous

A little more about me

I too often speak without thinking carefully - my opinions fly out of my mouth. Most of them are positive thoughts, though!! I've been accused of having 'interruptous' disease - I interrupt to give my 'two cents'! SORRY, in advance! =)
