More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am very passionate doing what I like and knowing that I am doing it well. I like to cook, read, spend lazy days on the bay, Art; particularly sculpture, water sports, running.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to run every day. It helps me clear my head and relax after a long day at work. I also really enjoy just lounging out on the wharf and watching the ships go by or taking the boat out for a little fun. Cooking is also a passion of mine, nothing like a BBQ for those long lazy summer evenings. I can waltz and foxtrot with the best of them, my swing and rumba are pretty good. We will not speak of cha-cha as it still needs some work.

The most influential person in my life has been

A connection or a "je ne sais quoi" as the French put it. Of course that doesn't help you a lot.I want someone who likes me for me and enjoys a life lived to the fullest.

The first thing people notice about me

Soft spoken self assurance, I don't need to be the center of attention, but I know what I like and I'm not timid about engaging people.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Boomsday" by Christopher Buckley, a political satire by the same author as "Thank you for smoking". A very entertaining read about aging baby boomers, PR spin, blogs and youth culture. The dialog was witty, but the characters were almost caricatures of common stereotypes found in many political novels. The ending also seemed a little rushed and a little Deus Ex Machina for my tastes.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family
  2. My health
  3. My personality

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Worldly ambition coupled with small town charm.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Hard Working, Intelligent, Physically Fit

A little more about me

In the interest of full disclosure, my hair is much shorter than in the pics.
