More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Competing in sports. There are a lot of very different things that I truly enjoy, but the competition of sports is when I feel the most 'alive'.

I typically spend my leisure time

I absolutely love being outdoors. Whether it's playing sports, hiking, camping or eating outside at a restaurant, there's something about being in open air that just appeals to me.I also have an innate curiosity that is hard to sate, as I've always enjoyed figuring out how/why something works the way it does... so learning would be something that I truly enjoy as well.

The most influential person in my life has been

The first thing people notice about me

My very bright blue eyes... they've even caused a multiple person pile-up on an escalator in Japan once upon a time. :-)

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm a closet sci-fi reader, so Armageddon Reef is the last book. I think it (and others) drive home that we really have no idea what is out there in the universe. It's an opportunity to do some really deep thinking and to stretch the bounds of what might be possible... basically exercise for the brain.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Being able to experience the world
  2. Learning to be a glass is half-full person
  3. Oreo cookies

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My combination of playfulness and seriousness.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Easy-Going, Funny, Intelligent

A little more about me

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Probably equals the number of peppers that Peter Piper picked when he picked his peck of pickled peppers. ;-)
