The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm the proud owner of an English Bulldog, Gus. He's retired from the track and pursuing synchronized swimming. Other interests (of mine - enough about Gus) include projects on my fixer-upper house, an eccentric style of interior decorating (I like things sparkly), skiing and camping (don't all Colorado ads say that?), horseback riding, and parenthetical asides.
I typically spend my leisure time
I'm a very social creature. Although I enjoy the occasional beer on a patio, I'd prefer to spend my evenings watching a movie or playing a board game with a bottle of wine and take-out. Daytime activities are all outside. Depending on the season, my friends and I can be found skiing, hiking, camping, etc. I'm currently training for a marathon, so lately a lot of leisure time is spent running, either with my two horses (bad running partners - they keep knocking me over) or with Gus in a stroller (if I can push a 75-lb. dog at altitude, the marathon should be a cinch!).
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm looking for somebody who can find fun in day-to-day activities and situations, takes pride in his career, and will appreciate the beauty of Gus as much as I do.
The first thing people notice about me
I'm always smiling, usually laughing. I can find humor in just about anything.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The most recent book I really liked was Tim O'Brien's "In The Lake Of The Woods." The language is beautiful, and it has a kind of choose-your-own-ending that I found unique and fascinating. But to be truthful, lately I've been on a reading spree of bad crime novels. They're all black with red foil lettering on the covers. I can blow through 4 or 5 in a week without ever having to think. Pure, mindless entertainment.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am so lucky to have the funniest, most loyal, most generous friends anyone could hope to meet.
- My dog, Gus. He's my canine soul mate.
- My physical health and the many opportunities to play and be fit that Colorado provides.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I think I'm far less confident than people initially perceive me to be. Sometimes new acquaintances don't confide in me because they erroneously assume I've got it all figured out.
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Funny, Hard Working, Intelligent
