More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about a lot of things. But if I had to narrow it down, it would be about being a strong and positive role model for my children. I had wonderful teachers in that area. I can only hope that I am half the parent that they were and still are (oh, wait, since there are two of them, I guess I am half the parent...hehe). Did I mention I am convinced that my parents were awesome because they laughed with us?

I typically spend my leisure time

For the past few years, I have been enrolled in graduate school, so I have not had a lot of spare time. I am finished with that now and am beginning to work out every day, picking up new hobbies, spending time with friends. When my kids are away I do enjoy fixing up my house and yardwork when the weather permits. When my kids are here, we are usually playing outside (baseball, swimming, biking, etc.). Cards is another fun activity I enjoy.... I do enjoy traveling, just wish I had more people that were willing to go for a weekend trip.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty. If someone is not honest with me about how they feel, or what they truly want, then a relationship, romantic or other, is doomed.

The first thing people notice about me

I am a very open person. I use humor to break down walls.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Confessions of a Shopaholic. Although I have not completed the book (long story), I cannot help but think back to my college days and identify with the main character. It is a funny look at the way people fool themselves into financial ruin (no, I am not there now).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children, they love me even when I make mistakes.
  2. My parents, they have been there for me through some very tough times.
  3. The powerful force that guides us all, helping us stay strong and supporting us when we are not.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am not out for just a good time. I am sincere and honest. I expect the same.

Friends Describe me as

Ambitious, Funny, Intelligent, Warm

A little more about me

Kids are a BIG part of my life. They are young and that is just part of me. You have been warned :)
