The one thing I am passionate about...
I love to express my creativity and be able to share it with other people. It's nice to get paid and appreciated for something you enjoy doing. I like meeting new people and getting to know them. I like to get to know interesting people, with many layers. I love people watching and making up back stories. I love it when someone gets the weird quirks of life that make me laugh.
I typically spend my leisure time
I read a lot - magazines and web, books. I work on homeowner jobs, sometimes because I want to and sometimes because I have to. I spend a bit of time with my dogs each day, either walking or playing with them. I touch base with all of my friends on a regular basis. I watch a little bit of (good) tv. I hang out with friends and get dinner, go out for drinks after work. If time permits, I also like to hone my sense of irony.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty and a sense of humor. I am also looking for someone who knows who they are and is able to communicate their feelings well.
The first thing people notice about me
My razor-sharp wit.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I just finished David Sedaris' book "When you are Engulfed in Flames" and found it to be very funny and honest, so I identified with the author and found it extremely entertaining. I am now reading the War of Art, by Steven Pressfield and finding it very enlightening.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I know what makes me happy and I know how to share that
- I have a family that loves me no matter what and parents that showed me what a relationship should be
- I am able to learn from my mistakes (most of the time)
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I'm good at darts. Some people have told me that they thought I was very friendly when they first met me and a couple people have said they were intimidated (which I think is ridiculous). I would much rather leave the friendly type of impression.
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Funny, Genuine, Optimistic
A little more about me
I have some tattoos and a motorcycle, but "bad boy" is too cliche for me, I'm probably more of a nerd. I have a gadget "problem." I've recently become enamored with painting watercolors. I think I could take my Brain Age skills pro. Two words: Stewart-Colbert. I know how to rock a short sleeve button-down and sandals. I could bore you with the differences between an tripel and a lager. I love the results of my workouts but hate doing them. I love walking, card games, campfires, talking, friends, dogs and fun.
