More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

New experiences and adventures, and learning new things. Basically anything new and interesting is exciting to me and I have eclectic interests in a lot of things. I'm also passionate about affecting change in myself or my small world around me for the better when I can. More concrete answers would be: politics, yoga, working out, playing any sport (esp. softball) the outdoors, music...

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to do yoga or go to the gym and work out, which makes me more content than anything. I also love to take runs with my greyhound, Quinn (although with her, they end up as walks after about a block). I like to sit on my back porch and read. Also, anything outdoors, especially kayaking/hiking/camping

The most influential person in my life has been

This is hard to verbalize, but...someone who can make the most out of any situation and be spontaneous and adventurous, who knows who they are and where they're going, and who makes me feel that I can be myself. Someone who knows when to be serious but can also be silly and who loves to laugh.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably my confidence.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Barack Obama's "The Audacity of Hope". It's his philosophy on politics, namely that we won't get anywhere unless we understand and embrace the fact that we all have different opinions, but that we have an obligation to listen to and respect one another, regardless of strong disagreement.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my upbringing and my family
  2. my friends, who help me remember who I am
  3. democracy (nerdy, but true)

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Hmm...maybe that I'm a lot more laid back than I may seem at first.

Friends Describe me as

Ambitious, Genuine, Intelligent, Kind

A little more about me

I tend to be a bit sports-obsessed (a bit strange for a girl, I realize) but it has kept me active and happy my entire life. I will play/watch pretty much any sport. Family is one of the most important things in my life. I also believe that wearing my lucky Eagles pants on Sundays helps them win. Though I'm starting to question that superstition this season.
