More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Always being there for my son, helping him when he needs help, listening when he wants to talk, answering his questions. Helping him to develop the maturity to handle tough situations, resist temptation and negative influence. Helping him to grow with balance emotionally, mentally, and physically.

I typically spend my leisure time

Exploring new ski areas, golfing, remodeling my house, small parties with friends, road trips with my son, paddling on a lake, riding bikes with my son. Finding how great it is to share my favorite activities with my kids, and learning to share in theirs.

The most influential person in my life has been

The desire to engage, to preserve a safe and respectful environment to communicate openly about feelings, dreams, desires and fears. To be willing to say when something is bothering them or doesn't feel right. With a foundation for communication, I think anything is possible.

The first thing people notice about me

I am friendly. I love to talk to people. Maybe I will try to keep those stories shorter...

The last book I read and enjoyed

Funny, I am re-reading a fantasy trilogy by John Christopher that I read when I was about 13. I bought it for my son, thought he might enjoy it too. It is about a boy's adventure in a neo-midieval society, some time after a global natural disaster. Other than that, my last book was Understanding Web Services. Yawn.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Great kids.
  2. Great childhood, supportive family.
  3. Good health.
