More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am very passionate about my inner spirit. It is where I believe Jesus lives. I need to take good care of that space because that is where I can find peace when everything around me is in chaos. Peace is so important. I feel that unless you are at peace, it's hard to do your job well, to make decisions, and continue friendships. Peace should be guarded at all costs. Once you find it, it's like a precious jewel that you can measure all other things against. I try to ask myself, "How will this affect the peace in my life?" before I make a decision.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to go canoeing, or hiking..maybe play tennis. I love to be on the lake. I don't own a boat, but I love to go boating. I also enjoy animals. I have 2 large dogs, and they make me laugh. Just like a kid, I like going to the zoo. I am always amazed at God's design in each animal. I don't watch T.V. very often. I like to read more than to have the T.V. telling me what to think. I usually light a candle when I read, just because it is pure, God created light. (I don't read by candlelight, I just have one lit nearby) I exercise at least 3 times a week. Weight training is my favorite form of exercise.

The most influential person in my life has been

Kindness and compassion.

The first thing people notice about me

My hair, my smile, and that I'm in good shape.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read The 9 things you simply MUST Do by Henry Cloud. Just common sense, but put into a great perspective.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children. They are good people. Thoughtful and considerate. Other people like them.
  2. My home by the lake. I love to look out at the lake every day. I feel very blessed to be in a place of emotional healing.
  3. My health. I see so many people struggling with emotional or physical problems. I feel blessed to feel good.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My spirituality. It's such a big part of who I am, it seems strange that it doesn't show.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Genuine, Physically Fit, Spiritual

A little more about me
