More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

After racking my brain for a while since I couldn't think of anything specific I came up with this: I have a passion for learning new things. Whether that means opening a book, reading random articles on wikipedia, spending entirely too much time on how stuff works, or just simply going some place new I am cool with all of that. My friends usually say I know way too much about way too many things. The truth is no matter how much you learn there's always a near infinite amount of things you haven't learned yet.

I typically spend my leisure time

I mostly try to spend time with my friends. We see movies, camp, make random road trips for no reason other than we are in a 4 wheeled transportation device. I geocache whenever I get the itch or just want an excuse to drive somewhere new or go hiking. I have my SCUBA certification, but am still looking for someone to do that with. I've also got a motorcycle I ride on occasion.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who doesn't take life too seriously. There's a time and a place for seriousness...I haven't found one yet, but I'm sure they're out there.I would like someone who I could both enjoy just hanging around the house with and going on an adventure with. If you hike and/or geocache that is also a bonus.

The first thing people notice about me

I have a rather goofy sense of humor, it's usually what comes out first when I'm trying to warm up to new people. Nothing off putting, but sometimes I get the "huh" look from people who take things too seriously. Also, I have a tendency to segue between completely insubstantial topics and heavyweight topics such something I recently read about particle physics or some other random "science-y" thing. Don't worry, most of my friends enjoy my company. At least that's what they keep telling me. Also...SQUIRREL.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read "Ohh Myyyy!' which is a book George Takei wrote concerning funny internet cat pictures. No seriously that's a great deal of what it's about. He talks about his rise to internet stardom on *a website eHarmony filters the name of even when trying to describe a book* as a result of his posting random/funny pictures he thought others would enjoy. I found the book rather insightful and quite funny at the same time.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends and family.
  2. My almost photographic memory.
  3. My Health.
