More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about music. Either I'm listening to music while driving or working or playing music on my piano (re-learning) or watching music-centric TV shows or movies.

I typically spend my leisure time

In my leisure time, I read and watch TV. I listen to music most of the day everyday. I like trying new activities.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who loves creativity, is open-minded, is respectful, has goals, won't try to change me, and will try to grow with me.

The first thing people notice about me

I have a very distinctive laugh. It isn't grating or annoying, but it is loud. People tell me constantly that they love my laugh; it brings them joy.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am currently reading fan fiction and "Girls Like Us" by Rachel Lloyd, but the last books that I read and enjoyed were "The Hunger Games" series by Suzanne Collins. I am attracted to angst, and boy do those books have it! "Catching Fire" was my favorite book in the series because of the dynamic between Katniss and Johanna, two polarizing, strong women who unknowingly fighting for the same goal. It's funny watching them fight not realizing that they are on the same side. Both are tragic characters, but that's explored a little more in the final book.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for my friends for encouraging me and my "enemies" for encouraging me, too. I am as driven by genuine encouragement as I am by others' doubt in my abilities.
  2. I am most thankful for the luxuries that come along with having a stable income. I don't worry about paying bills, and although I budget (as is responsible), I never really "want" for anything.
  3. I am most thankful for my family that loves me dearly. Even though we annoy each other and may even go prolonged periods of time without speaking to one another, we always support one another and "have each others' backs." I am confident that there is nothing I could do that would cause me to lose my family's support.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

People don't realize that I am pretty straightforward, and I find it difficult sometimes to pick up on sarcasm, even when said in jest. It's a little embarrassing. Sometimes, a friend will make a witty joke laced with a little bit of sarcasm. I'll laugh because everyone else is laughing, but I won't understand the joke until someone explains it to me.
