The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm passionate about life. I get excited about my job and my gardening but I'm most passionate about being a mom. I love spending time with my kiddo, watching her explore the world and helping her become her best self. I am passionate about nurturing my relationships with new and old friends, neighbors, family and loved ones. I enjoy creating memories every day with the people I care most about. I enjoy the opportunity to serve others in everyday life...taking soup to a sick neighbor, making a cobbler for a teacher, or sending someone who I know is down a pick-me-up note.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy gardening, international and national travel and walking, hiking, swimming or biking. I read, shoot photos, do home repairs. I go to the library weekly. I enjoy festivals and cultural activities. I take in a movie now and again. I like finding really great food in very unexpected places. Enjoy cooking for others. I love to shop at Sprout's, Central Market and Whole Foods. Yum! I do kid stuff frequently-parks, museums, theater. I like long bike rides. Occassinally enjoy a glass of red wine or a really obscure dark beer. Love fresh seafood, laying on the beach, visiting spas, natl. parks, mountains and gathering with friends.
The most influential person in my life has been
A happy and committed person who wants to mutually invest in a life-time partnership. My match is loving, interested, engaged, intelligent, balanced, fun-loving, passionate, loyal, interested in exploring life's everyday adventures and stable. He will be organized yet spontaneous, financially secure yet not superficial, optimistc yet realistic, committed to family (both immediate, extended and a select group of close friends) and interested in building a legacy in life.
The first thing people notice about me
I'm warm and accepting. I welcoming and comfortable. I am considerate but I don't worry too much about what other people think. I laugh A LOT! I can be intense but I have a well-balanced sense of humor. I can laugh at myself and I laugh with others, not at others. I'm not interested in nastiness or pettiness, life is too short. I don't waste time majoring in the "minor." Instead, I stay focused on my values and what I really want in a situation or in life and I'm flexible about the rest of it.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I recently read The Secret. I'm always working on a few books. One of them right now is Freakonomics.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Knowing we are not in this alone and that someone greater than all of us has a hand in our destiny.
- The blessing of my daughter, my family and my friends.
- Free will to acheive - - a happy life, educational goals, positive impacts on the lives of those I encounter and reaching professional successes.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I can come across as blunt, to-the-point and overly focused at times, but I am also very sensative and compassionate. Sometimes I'm rushed and I'm not always as considerate as I want and mean to be but I enjoy taking time to go out of my way to express kindness to others - - to those I know well and to people who I don't know at all.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Creative, Outgoing, Warm
A little more about me
Here's a news flash - I'm not perfect. I don't expect perfection from anyone else. Life is good for me. I'm looking for a life partner to make the journey even better. If you're needy, negative, self-absorbed, angry, work obsessed, arrogant or hateful, I'm not your match. I'm looking for one GOOD man to be crazy in love with and with whom I can create a fabulous life-on our joint terms. If you're my match, our relationship will far exceed any expectations you might have, on all levels and in all aspects. Did I mention, I'm self-secure and confident? In any event, if you've taken time to read this far I wish you luck with your search.
