The one thing I am passionate about...
I believe life is short and should be lived to the fullest. An opportunity wasted is an experience missed. My favorite saying is something like "Work like you don't need the money, dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, love like you've never been hurt, and live life every day as if it were your last".
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy anything on the water, and some outdoor exploring like hiking or biking. In the winter, I'm strapped to a snowboard at least once a week. My greatest pleasure comes from exploration, whether it's finding a great little restaurant off main street in some small town, or grabbing a bag, passport, and plane ticket to some place you can't even read the road signs. I love to travel, and would like to hit every continent. My progress so far includes Australia, Canada, and some of Europe, with Africa as my next stop.
The most influential person in my life has been
I am looking for someone with an extra large funny bone... Someone who can laugh at themselves when they do something stupid, at me when I do it too, and at the world when it shows us how odd and funny life can be.
The first thing people notice about me
Everyone figures out quickly that I don't take life too seriously and am pretty laid back. I joke around about everything, unless it's a time that requires seriousness. Fortunately those times are few and far between.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Oops... I'm illiterate! Guess I can't claim that if I'm writing it ;) Mostly Dean Koontz, and usually it's read in a cramped airplane seat. I have a good imagination, so I can lose myself in almost any book, which helps on long flights.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- The caring and support from my friends and family.
- My job that allows me to explore the world and provides a comfortable living.
- All the experiences of my past, both good and bad, that make me who I am today.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
The one thing that takes some time to find out, is that although sometimes you see a little shell of cynicism, once you get to know me you find out that shell is pretty thin, and there's a sea of optimism lurking under it! You can blame the pessimism on working in a helpdesk call center at one point... Anyone who's ever answered a ringing phone with 4 or more lines on it becomes at least a minor cynic at some point ;)
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Funny, Loyal, Warm
A little more about me
Life is full of challenges, and if you're up to this one, send me a response and we'll see where it goes from there. Now, no more info for you! I might find you in the bushes in front of my house ;)
