More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about my relationships with my friends and family. I enjoy the love, humor, and companionship we share. I am also passionate about art/creativity, whether I'm making something or admiring someone else's work. I am also passionate about books, music, and travel. I love exploring new places, as well as re-visiting old favorite places.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy being outdoors, away from the crowds and the pavement. I love to walk on the beach, hike in the mountains, and wade in rivers. I also enjoy creative projects, from beadwork and basket-making to my attempts at wood carving. I enjoy rock hounding and hunting for cool stuff at flea markets. My sister and I have a couple of spaces in an antique mall in Snohomish. I like to read both fiction and non-fiction. I love trying hole-in-the-wall and ethnic restaurants. I love to travel and explore, even if it's only a day trip.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is kind, funny, and intelligent. I think kindness is the most important quality.

The first thing people notice about me

I have been told that I smile a lot and always seem cheerful.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Life of Pi." A boy tells the story of being adrift for months in a lifeboat. But there are two versions to Pi's story, one of which is much harder for him or anyone else to accept. He decides that it is enough to say that he lost everyone and suffered much.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family
  2. my friends, which include my terrific boss
  3. my creative abilities

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm fairly shy to begin with, so people don't initially notice that I have a sense of humor and am playful. I get my sense of humor from my dad, who once hid my Easter basket in the toilet tank. (It was wrapped in plastic and floated nicely.)

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Creative, Funny, Intelligent

A little more about me

People say they enjoy my storytelling abilities -- relating odd things that have happened to me and others. In the re-telling, the stories all seem funny even if they were stressful at the time.
