More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Family & happiness - I have been fortunate to have a wonderful family and a happy life, so I'm determined to keep it going.

I typically spend my leisure time

Right now - studying. But, when I'm not being a student, I like to read, spend time with friends, hike, ski, dance, walk and bike.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty, humor & intelligence. Tell me the truth, make me laugh and argue with me on occasion, and I may love you forever!

The first thing people notice about me

Hmmm...next time I'm introduced to someone, I'll be sure to ask. Ok, I asked and was told that people tend to notice that I talk - A LOT. Now, I'm not sure how that could be the FIRST thing people notice, but there you have it.

The last book I read and enjoyed

What I've been reading lately are textbooks, which are awfully dry (and darn expensive), but I do enjoy fiction & biographies. My favorite recently was "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi. It was a chronicle of her time in Iran after the Islamic Revolution. I was very inspired by Nafisi - she kept her ideals under very difficult circumstances, and never gave up on trying to get others to open their minds to other points of view. I also enjoyed The DaVinci Code because it was a well written, faced paced mystery, but I don't think it was life changing read everyone else seems to think it was.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family
  2. my friends
  3. my independence

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That, while I do have an admittedly dry sense of humor, I really am funny. I think - well, I crack myself up anyway.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Genuine, Loyal, Warm

A little more about me

I've sprained my ankle twice in three weeks - bet that's something most people don't say here. Seriously, I'm pretty open-minded and I love a good debate, but I'm also pretty liberal. If you are very conservative, you'd probably want to throttle me within the first ten minutes - but, hey, if you want to give it a go...Also, I have killed every plant I've ever owned, even the plastic ones. So, if botanical homicide offends you, I'm not your girl ;)

I am
Very Liberal
