More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I have a great passion for those whom Christ referred to as the least of these. I feel called to work toward the in-breaking of God?s peace and justice for all of God?s children, not just those for whom it is convenient or socially acceptable to do so. As a follower of Christ living within this empire, I must both use my prophetic voice to call for us all to repent of the materialistic sin that enslaves so many and live into the promises that Christ has for all of us in covenantal relationship.

I typically spend my leisure time

i enjoy visiting friends when i have the chance. Depending on where i am, i like hiking, exploring urban environments, drawing, reading, and listening to music.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who is striving to live into God's redemptive promises. And a really good sense of humor.

The first thing people notice about me

That i am typically the youngest person in the room. Granted, these settings are typically ecclesiastical in nature, but still. That or what i am wearing (often a utilikilt).

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book that I completely finished is About A Boy by Nick Hornby, a British pop-cultural fiction author whose prose I really enjoy. There is something wonderful about his flawed characters and their almost ridiculous self-understanding. That, and the juxtaposition between his works and those from the other authors I am currently reading through which include: Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Robert McAfee Brown, Mary Heather MacKinnon, Henri Nouwen, Dan Richard Riso and Russ Hudson, and Richard Rohr.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Living into a covenantal relationship with God.
  2. The completely amazing people in my life.
  3. Having the opportunity to share with people from other cultures.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

i am more than you see (i would like to take this opportunity to apologize for such a blandly mundane response to this question).

A little more about me

i don't take everything too seriously, just that which is too serious to not.
