More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Politics, reading, learning new things,I try very hard to get others involved in a good debate -I am anti-Walmart to an extreme - anti-Bush and his administration - anti - Iraqui war and I dislike people who cannot accept responsibilities for their actions and most of all I dislike hypocrites. I beleive in the separation of church and state and I think evangelists should stay out of politics. I really think this country needs to take an active role against out-sourcing and keep jobs in America !! Another area I am interested in is health care and elderly care.

I typically spend my leisure time

Unfortunately at this time I have 3 jobs - so I guess I do work a lot !!! But I live in a fantastic region of the country ( Grand Canyon) so I do a lot of drives and I take classes as much as I can - I do love geneaology and have found many distant relatives in Ireland !

The most influential person in my life has been

Character, integrity, work ethic, humor, and kindness.

The first thing people notice about me

I would have to say I do have a " Boston" accent even after being gone from New England for almost 20 yrs...it's a source / beginning of lots of conversation - it must be in my DNA !!

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book that I read was for the anthropology class that I am taking - it was called "Enigma of the Zuni" a theory of why and how the Zuni of the Southwest are so different from others in this region ( especially their language)I like to learn about the anthropology of the Indians in America and where they originally came from

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. 6 grandchildren
  2. job
  3. my 15 years of sobriety

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I have a lot of really good ideas about all kinds of things - I guess because I joke around a lot sometimes people don't realize when I am serious.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Genuine, Hard Working, Intelligent

A little more about me

I have been on my own for a long time - divorced over 35 yrs - never remarried...and I am very set in my ways. I don't know if this is a good thing to try to start a relationship ...
