The one thing I am passionate about...
I love adventure and exploration. When I was younger, I wanted to be an astronaut. I relish being new places and see new things, and if it were the 17th or 18th century, I'd be a world explorer. I love travel and being outdoors and in nature (but am not a tree-hugger).I love natural beauty, but also cherish true, genuine beauty in people's personalities and appearance.I am passionate for spending time with deep friends - people who are caring, intelligent, interesting, loyal, honest, fun, who get me and whose company I enjoy.I love the movies as I am creative and a dreamer, but am not nearly as good creating as appreciating!
I typically spend my leisure time
I do all sorts of things -- there is really no typical leisure time for me. I often enjoy weekend trips, whether it be skiing, across the country to New York (my old stomping grounds), down the coast to LA, or one of many places in between. I really enjoy spending time and going out with friends, watching movies and chilling in the house, getting outdoors and going hiking then going somewhere completely sophisticated and urban for the contrast, going to dinner or taking advantage of some big social event somewhere.
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindess, generosity, understanding and true, deep beauty (ok, that's cheating, but imagine all those things rolled into one!).
The first thing people notice about me
My smile and dimples (wait, is that cheating?) and my British accent (I grew up in London).
The last book I read and enjoyed
A recent book I loved is "Blue Latitudes" by Tony Horwitz. It's a non-fiction book (I generally read more fiction than non-fiction, but love the good historical read) about the journeys of Captain Cook around the Pacific. The author compares what the places Cook went were like then to what they're like today. At the same time, the author throws in a whole bunch of stories about his own experiences touring these places, most of which are hilarious and make the book very down-to-earth and enjoyable to read. If you've read anything about me, you know I love adventure and exploration, which is why I love this book.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I was raised by an extremely caring mother and an incredibly altruistic, loving father and have wonderful friends.
- I am an optimist and usually see brightness and hope in the future and in everything I attempt.
- I have deeply held values and beliefs which guide my life and give me strength when I feel down.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
My heart and my soul. I am a person filled with caring and love for the people who matter to me, but you won't find that our until I have come to know you at a deeper level.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Intelligent, Loyal, Optimistic
A little more about me
In short, I'm sophisticated but not conceited, intelligent but love the simple pleasures too, fun-loving but not shallow, passionate but thoughtful and very much a romantic. Ms. Right is someone who'll also be my best friend, my partner and the one I trust most. Life with me will be a true, all-encompassing, passionate adventure. For the right person, I can guarantee youll always be entertained, youll never stop laughing and youll be romanced off your feet. Not sure if this is you? If you even come close I can promise you the experience of your lifetime. If it doesnt work out, no worries -- a new friend is better than no friend at all.
