More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

i am most passionate about creating a sustainable, healthier lifestyle for the future.

I typically spend my leisure time

i typically spend my leisure time hanging out with friends, watching movies, reading, cooking, cleaning, and swimming on a Master's swim team. i also like to run outside when it is warm enough and talk on the phone. recently, i've started learning the guitar... i can now play "twinkle, twinkle, little star" very slowly. but no chords.

The most influential person in my life has been

the most important quality that I am looking for in another person is personal integrity and character, and then a sense of humor :) .

The first thing people notice about me

i have no idea.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read and enjoyed was "A Small Rain" by Madeleine L'Engle. She was my favorite author when I was younger - I LOVED "A Wrinkle In Time", and I thought I would check out some of her adult novels. This book was about a young woman growing up in the first half of the twentieth century as the daughter of a world-renowned composer (father) and famous former pianist (mother). It turns out, this was L'Engle's first attempt at a novel, and I really liked it for the emotional and intellectual sensitivity that she created in most of her characters. I also liked it for its story line - bittersweet, but didn't leave me depressed at the end.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family
  2. my intelligence
  3. my health
