The one thing I am passionate about...
My greatest passion is "knowing God and making him known. He is the center of my life, and the starting place of any compatibility with a life partner. It's not just a trite saying that He is the center of my life; I really am seeking to orient all I am and do around Him. I see Him not only as Savior, Lord, Messiah. I also see Him as friend, mystery, adventure. Getting to know Him more, loving Him well, and serving Him with my life is what I am all about.
I typically spend my leisure time
Leisure time, what leisure time? :) Actually, life is so busy my leisure time right now is spent in maintaining relationships, reading, and working out. There's not enough time for the other stuff I love like traveling, adventures, and learning new and wonderful things.
The most influential person in my life has been
I believe the depth of a person's relationship with God determines many other factors in their life. Therefore, the single most important quality I would want in a spouse would be singlehearted devotion to Jesus. Everything else centers around, and flows from this. When you are rightly relating to Jesus, issues like lying, anger, unkindness, etc. are dealt with. So to me the MOST important thing is loving God and recieving His love.
The first thing people notice about me
I get frequent comments on my smile; I guess to alot of people it's "beautiful."
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read and enjoyed was a murder mystery by Rex Stout...can't say which one since I'm avaraging one a week at this point/ I am NOT a mystery person, but someone introduced me to Nero Wolfe and I really enjoy the books so I'm on a kick. Nero is this fat, spoiled, lazy, egomaniac detective who has the perfect assistant. They solve murder mysteries and I really love the personaility that Rex Stout gives to the charecters. In thinking about this last week I decided that these books contain a "world" that is very easy to slip into and it's also enjoyable. I love a good book!
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am most thankful for my relationship with God and His love for me.
- I am extremely thankful for my family.
- I am also extremely thankful for the community of believers where God has placed me.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I guess I'd have to say that I wish people were able to get a better sense of who I am when they meet me. I tend to be reserved and don't share freely unless I'm comfortable. So, in some settings I am aware that people think I am a pushover or simply have no opinion or insight. It sounds silly but I guess I wish people realized there's a depth to me.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Intelligent, Passionate, Spiritual
A little more about me
I feel very strongly that I am called to an active lifestyle of ministry. Anyone who doesn't share this desire/call should not seek correspondence with me. I am not interested in pursuing the American Dream. I want to live extravegantly for God.
