The one thing I am passionate about...
I am very passionate about children. I have been teaching for 7 years and , despite the challenges, I love seeing my 20-22 students everyday. I have my challenges, but the thought that the good Lord gave me the kids in my classroom for reasons see and unseen is very humbling. So often I get the "kids" other teachers "run from" because of certain behavioral issues or personality differences....I am very thankful God has given me a gift to love unconditionally. In my profession, I can either make or break a child's spirit..my goal is to empower every child in my class--
I typically spend my leisure time
Spending time with my family/friends, scrapbooking, being crafty around my house..and if at all possible curl up with a good book and turn off all the ringers on the phones.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone who already has a personal relationship with Christ. A man devoted to his family and friends. Most important, a man who is honest to himself and those he meets. Sure every woman wants to be swept off their feet, but I am praying for a man who is real-- A popular christian song says, "the measure of man is not in his things but his heart."
The first thing people notice about me
My smile and dimples. Many of my friends say that I have a warm, welcoming smile and that my smile lights up a room. I think my smile makes people feel warm and relaxed. :)
The last book I read and enjoyed
I am currently reading Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge and The Power of Praising God by Stormie Omartarian. Both are very timely books in my life. Captivating has reminded me of the uncondititional love Christ has for me and has allowed me a chance to see a deeper side of myself....as Christ does. I wish I could have read this book when I was younger- but I am blessed to have it at this stage in life.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My faith--the one thing in life that no one can harm or hurt. So many try to do it alone, I can't.
- My family- my support in all things.
- My life- sometime I have to remind myself that it's not my purpose I am living for..it is God's will for my life.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Despite my somewhat shy exterior, I have a very fun and humorous personality. I love to laugh and experience life. Give me a minute and you'll see that there is never a dull moment with me.
Friends Describe me as
Dependable, Spiritual, Sweet, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I have a desire to live my life for the glory of God. I am praying that God continues to grow me into a woman filled with his grace and love.I'll be honest, I look foward to the day when I can begin a new chapter in my life with the Godly man God intends for me. Until then, I will keep praying for him and know that God's timing is PERFECT!!!
