More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about the friends in my life, learning about the world by seeing it firsthand, how and why and where things will grow in my garden, having a succesful career in order to create a comfortable homelife, and being able to help others. I'm also very passionate about learning about my ancestral roots and connecting with ancient traditions. I'm passionate about communing with nature and feeling connected to the earth. I am passionate about "doing nothing" when I have the luxury.

I typically spend my leisure time

With friends, gardening, improving myself, my home, by body or spirit.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who can be intentional about, and respectful of, the phases of getting to know another person in an adult relationship, and someone who is genuine and ready to love and be loved in return. I am looking for a man who can say how he feels, and can communicate wants, needs and expectations in a relationship.

The first thing people notice about me

Open and warm personality, introduced with a big smile.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri about the son of immigrants and their struggles to honor traditional Indian/Hindu ways while embracing a new American life. Seeing the movie afterwards was that much more satisfying, because you can't usually fit all the details of a book into a movie. I liked the story of father and son and the hopes and dreams of parents and children. I appreciated learning about the idea of a pet name and a good name in India, and and other cultural traditions."Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell, about impressions, split-deicionss, and how professionals/experts use thin-slicing to make well-informed, quick decisions.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. having grown up in a large family.
  2. a career with potential.
  3. personal well-being/health

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My life experiences.

Friends Describe me as

Happy, Kind, Outgoing, Spiritual
