The one thing I am passionate about...
Bringing happiness into this crazy world to myself and those I care about. Too broad? I'm passionate about adventure, learning, and politics. I like to approach life as a "one shot" experience. I'm semi-passionate about playing the piano. Ehh maybe 1/4 passionate.
I typically spend my leisure time
Relaxing, learning, or traveling. To relax I play piano, ride my motorcycle, have some fun on the lake, veg out. I don't watch much tv but I love the Colbert Report. I read a lot. Some time ago I got into the habit of reading before falling asleep. College probably. Anyway it's still the easiest way to absorb information and get it into my head. Reading... unlike listening it's at my pace. And I suck at brail. :)I like to visit new destinations and old friends. Plus I enjoy outdoor activites that often require traveling to reach so I do my fair share of atmosphere polluting. I hate myself for it. :)
The most influential person in my life has been
Moderation in all things except love. Some people we establish a strong connection with, others... not so much. :) But those that we do, if we get things right, become something special. Not everyone is capable to interact in this way. So eat drink and be merry responsibly, and love like your partner will be gone tomorrow. After that... complexity. The crazier your ideas, the greater the range of stories, the more facts and fictions you have, the better. I want to discuss, learn, and communicate.
The first thing people notice about me
I wonder this myself?!?! I guess if they don't know me.... well I usually say hi and introduce myself so....my name??.. or the tone of my voice?? eye contact-sometimes I lock on and don't let go :) I'm not sure but I think the more eye contact between two individuals the better. Not sure why exactly... just a crazy thought.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I think it was called the Biology of Belief. It is about a professors insights into cell morphology and what he believed the importance of his insights are. I liked the authors philosophical discussions. I enjoy "ultimate meaning" theories, whether from a scientific position or religious although I tend to approach religion from.... well check out "Darwins Cathedral".
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My position in life- I feel very well rounded due to my upbringing and life experiences.
- My open mind-i'd hate myself if I was ignorant- unless I didn't realize it :)
- hmmm living in this day and age
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Hmmm.... i cant think of anything
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Intelligent, Spontaneous, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I will probably be slow at responding.
