The one thing I am passionate about...
My passion is the journey of life. To live is to experience. Whether we wish or not, but for as long as we remain aware, we are subject to the flow of time and the events it bring to our awareness. As individuals, we are defined by what we have experienced, and those experiences in turn define how we choose to interpret new encounters. As such, it can be said that the meaning of life itself is simply to experience. To experience not only one facet of the whole, but as many unique endeavors as our consciousness can accept.
I typically spend my leisure time
I absolutely love the great outdoors! In the winter I am a total ski bum and try to hit the slopes as much as I can. For the other seasons, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, and other outdoorsy activities. Currently Im doing mountaineering training in preparation for my Mount Rainier climb this July.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty, the ability to communicate, and a burning passion for life and freedom.
The first thing people notice about me
My rather aloof demeanor.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Good books are meant to be read many times over and to learn from them each time anew. But most books are just there to entertain. The last book I read was "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", and it is definitely one of those books to be read many times over. The first few times I read it, I wasn't able to finish it, for I know I wasn't ready for the later chapters until I have executed the first ones. Now that I have finished the book and has been able to integrate the habits into my life, I look forward to reading "The 8th Habit".
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My parents for supporting me in pursuing my goals.
- All my mentors and the wisdom they have shared.
- The journey I took to discover myself.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I believe anything worth doing is worth doing well.
Friends Describe me as
Ambitious, Dependable, Intelligent, Physically Fit
A little more about me
There are many different paths to the same end. The most traveled ones are often the longest; the less treaded ones are often the most interesting. Begin with the end in mind; actions are not taken for the sake of movement, but rather to serve a purpose.
