The one thing I am passionate about...
Traveling, rural and urban exploration, world cinema, being a loving father to my young adult daughter, walking with my dogs, learning about other cultures, speaking Spanish, nature, art museums, good food, reading historical novels
I typically spend my leisure time
reading, taking walks, planning and taking trips, bike riding, working out, playing on the computer, watching movies, attending cultural events, conversing in Spanish
The most influential person in my life has been
There are so many that this is a difficult question to answer. I would have to say overall that it would be compatiblity. That, of course, is comprised of so many variables such as mutual interests, chemistry, honesty, etc. With that said, I believe honesty is the base that has to be there in order to build a sucessful relationship. If there is a lack of trust, in the mid to long run it's not likely that love could last.I also feel that a physical chemistry is very important. If I don't find the match to be attractive (and vice versa of course), there is little probablity of creating much passion.
The first thing people notice about me
Again, another difficult question because one seldom gets feedback on first impressions. I suppose it would be that I am a bit shy at first.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read was about the events in Boston that led to the Revoluntionary War. It is quite well written, historically accurate and presented the view point of both the Americans and the British. What I liked most about it was that it was intelligent without being difficult to read.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- generally good health
- citizen of the United States
- that I have been able to be a parent of a wonderful child
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I would love to engage them in conversation. Being somewhat introverted, it is often difficult to project that this desire.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Funny, Intelligent, Modest
A little more about me
I grew up in California and now live in Cincinnati because of my job. I do travel for work but am almost always home on weekends and seldom am gone longer than a week. I love to do a variety of things like dining, going to museums, & multi-cultural events, browsing book stores, wine tasting, zoos and just too many other things to list. I have been to 45 states and 5 continents and have lived overseas. I watch very little TV or sports. I really love watching sunsets with someone special and perhaps sharing a bottle of wine. I would like a monogamous relationship. If we do have that chemistry, you'll get frequent massages customized to your needs
