More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My greatest passion is a deep love for the outdoors, and an almost spiritual connection with music. In addition to that is a deep appreciation for the gift of life and love. Honesty, Integrity, Spirituality and Self-Awareness follow close behind.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to dance and so dance quite often (at studios, clubs, parties, etc.). When I'm at home I bike, hike or camp, weather permitting, or sometimes I waste time playing computer games. I've also gotten into reading again, and have gone through MANY books over the last year.

The most influential person in my life has been

For me, integrity and honesty are most important. People who can't be trusted or who are opportunistic are what I try to avoid. Good mental health is another desired trait. We all have our issues, and God knows, it's taken me longer than it should to address mine, but I am absolutely convinced it's a waste of time to try to have a healthy relationship with an unhealthy person, no matter how healthy the other partner may be, or how hard one tries. I'm done with futility!

The first thing people notice about me

I'm pretty tall, so at 6'1", I'm fairly noticeable. Also, at first blush, I tend to be somewhat reserved, but once the "ice" is broken, I easily warm up to others.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"In The Meantime" by Iyanla Vanzant. It was about relationships and how we contribute to the quality or lack thereof, of the relationship with our baggage or misbeliefs. It helped me turn from "blaming them" to realizing that I was part, if not all, of the problem because I hadn't resolved my own issues. As the saying goes, "As within, So without"!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for my many blessings, especially health and intelligence.
  2. I am thankful for all of my friends and family.
  3. I am grateful for being born in the U.S. and for all of the opportunities I've had.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

They sometimes don't realize that I have a sense of humor, and have a playful side to me. I probably need to bring more of that out sooner, but old habits are hard to break!

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Easy-Going, Intelligent, Physically Fit

A little more about me

I tend to be a "big-picture" kind of guy, and am easily bored by details, unless they relate to my work. Thank God for speed dial, PDA's, Cell Phones, etc.
