More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am probably most passionate about my friends, the performing arts, volunteer work, my church, my 2 cats, and shoes! I enjoy laughing, eating, sharing wine, traveling and working on improving the world with the people I am close to. I love my cute little house in my historic urban neighborhood. I like to go out rather than stay in. I am always trying to read more. I like to get to the end of the day feeling like I accomplished something. I get a great deal of pleasure from doing things for other people. I enjoy learning about art, history, wine, and food, and I love a good single-malt. I would go to the movies 3 nights a week if I could!

I typically spend my leisure time

Walking, going to the movies, meeting friends for coffee, dinner, a drink, or dessert.

The most influential person in my life has been

A sense of humor.

The first thing people notice about me

My laugh. I am afraid I laugh loudly and often, and people frequently enter a room that I'm in saying, "I knew it was you, I heard the laugh!"

The last book I read and enjoyed

A Million Little Pieces. A fascinating first person account of a 24-year-old alcoholic/drug abuser's detox and climb out of addiction. I tend to like stories that are not 'happily ever after' - I'd rather things not work out just right for everyone, sometimes. Also, it is written in an interesting conversational style that probably has a name, but I don't remember high school english well enough to recall it!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends and family
  2. Health
  3. Paris, France and pink flowers

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think I come across "tougher" than I am - I am really a sweetie.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Generous, Hard Working, Intelligent
