More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Travel, adventures, spirituality, helping people live better lives, children, helping people find their voice, family, beauty, living life fully.

I typically spend my leisure time

If I'm needing down time on my own you'll find me gardening, quilting, reading, watching movies or outside. If I'm looking for people time you'll most likely find me over at my dear friends home having tea and enjoying the chaos of their five sweet children. I love to go out with friends and have a good conversation over coffee, or enjoy a musical performance or the theater. If I have a good chunk of time, (and some vacation money) you'll find me adventuring somewhere. I love traveling and exploring different cultures and places.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who is looking for a life-long partnership in their marriage. Honesty and good communication skills are a must. Someone who is on a spiritual path and wants to share spirituality with their spouse. Someone who loves children and is committed to family. Someone who enjoys life and looks for the best in every situation.

The first thing people notice about me

People reflect to be that I am kind, generous, wise and giving. When they get to know me a bit better they find that I have a good sense of humor to boot. :)

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just read Three Cups of Tea. It is about a man who after a failed climbing expedition in Pakistan was inspired to give back to the country by building schools to educate and empower the children, and especially the girls, of Pakistan. I enjoyed exploring the cultures that the author experienced and was inspired by his humanitarian drive. It also opened my eyes to more of the reality of the conflicts in the middle East, the effects of 9/11 and so on.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Spiritual path that makes sense to me and guides me.
  2. Dear friends and family to support and be supported by.
  3. Knowing that my choices in every moment make a difference.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think I often present me pulled together, empathetic, intelligent side first. I would like to let my goofy, silly, fun side out more readily.

Friends Describe me as

Ambitious, Caring, Genuine, Spiritual
