More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Music and the arts are my emotional food. I love (almost) all types of music with a special love for ancient, early, modern (classical) music, and jazz (especially the Blues.)I love my family and my friends and am loyal to and protective of them, and that is a two-way dynamic.Generally, my passion is what I happen to be doing at any given moment. Most activities worth doing deserve my full attention and involvement. There are very few activities in which I cannot become engrossed. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I am passionate about living and embracing this beautiful world and my many blessings.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, Sudoku's, crossword puzzles, dining out alone or with friends, concerts, museums, shopping, and talking with 'long-distance' friends on the phone.

The most influential person in my life has been

Shared values and a sense of adventure. I don't necessarily mean hiking in a rain forest in search of some prize (although that might be fun). I'm talking about someone who enjoys the process of seeing, doing and learning new things.

The first thing people notice about me

I imagine that they first notice that I like to talk to people, which includes listening. I'll have to ask some friends and I may update this. -- Update: the first thing that everyone said was, 'Your smile.' That is somewhat ironic, because my smile is the first thing to go when I get in front of a camera.

The last book I read and enjoyed

'Photoreading' by Paul Scheele. I had taken his course years ago and I wanted to refresh my skills. Before that a few Sue Grafton books and before that all of Dan Brown's books. Haven't read 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' series recently, but want to pick it up again. I love his humor.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family and friends
  2. my health
  3. having a job that I love with wonderful co-workers

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Depending on the circumstances, they may not realize that I have an active sense of humor and of the absurd -- unless the opportunity presents itself.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Genuine, Good listener, Intelligent

A little more about me

I believe that learning is exciting; music, art and literature can be transforming; even the smallest detail of nature can be inspiring; and a good laugh can cure almost any ill. Balance is what it's all about.
