The one thing I am passionate about...
I am most passionate about Jesus, people, and the relationship I have with each of them. I am passionate about my own personal development and growth. I am passionate about using my gifts and natural abilities which lead me to be an encourager and support to family and friends. I am passionate about knowing others and allowing them to know me in a personal way, to see how God uses each of us in the other's life for growth, to love each other, encourage one another, challenge each other, enjoy one another,...through special times together and through the ordinary events of daily living.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy being with friends/family or being alone. Walking my basset hound Fred, going out to eat, seeing an occasional movie, being involved in a church activity, exercising at the fitness center, or cooking and having friends over for a meal. I enjoy being able to sleep in late sometimes, getting outdoors communing with nature, hiking, kayaking, and occasionally going camping. Travel, seeing new sites, I love the mountains (the beach can be fun too). I enjoy music of many varieties, going to a concert or the theater. I am one of the singers on the Praise Team at church and make the monthly musicians schedule for worship services.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone whose Christian beliefs define who he is.
The first thing people notice about me
I've been told my thoughts and emotions are often clearly seen in my face. I have a sparkle, warmth, vivacious personality that comes out when I'm in a comfortable environment. However, I can be quiet and less outgoing in a large group.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Recently a lot of what I have read has been nonfiction about dating, financial planning, coaching ... "Captivating" written by John and Staci Eldredge. It is a reflection of my own journey in finding that Jesus truly is the lover of my heart - my soul and ultimately the One that I have longed for.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Jesus chose me and loves me.
- My family and friends.
- My gifts, abilities, and life experiences.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I tend to think outside the box. My perspective or approach to life can be different from the majority. I often hear people say "Wow, I never thought about it that way."
Friends Describe me as
Good listener, Hard Working, Loyal, Perceptive
A little more about me
I'm realizing more and more that I enjoy adventure and occasionally like to do things that challenge or even scare me a little. I have never been married and have no children. However, I am very open to being with a partner who has children whether in the home or living else where.
