More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love to get to the bottom of things. Honest music, sincere and warm people, witnessing someone realize potential, and laughing children speaks beauty. Enjoying coffee while listening to wind chimes and kids playing dogdeball at the elementary school across the street is bliss. When my heart is quiet, and the whispering of melody, lyrics, and rhythm find their way on to the page, the feeling is more than I can call my own. Does anyone else beleive that we can't objectively view ourselves? The making of this self-profile sparked more thought than I can represent.

I typically spend my leisure time

This keeps changing. I've been playing in two groups for the last couple weeks, and vegging. I love watching people in airports, being at the beach, drinking coffee in Carlsbad, and oh, Balboa Park - the place is teeming with energy.

The most influential person in my life has been

I almost said open-mindedness, but essentially I'm looking for someone with emotional courage. Someone who silently knows that there's a light in their eyes. Someone who isn't afraid to say too much. Someone who reads between the lines for more reasons than tickling their intellect. If you've established compassion as a priority, that's definitly a plus... and if you can see through this dry profile...

The first thing people notice about me

Warmth, I hope. I like to articulate the finer workings of things, at least to the extend I currently understand them. See? Depending on my mood, sarcasm and boat rocking questions for entertainment reasons might also be obvious.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Art of Dreaming" by Carlos Castaneda... our system of interpretaion is so limited. If you're searching for a deeper experience, why not put your definitions of reality up for review?

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Life. There is food for my heart and mind everywhere, everyday.
  2. My parent's example of unconditional love.
  3. I had to practice the piano for 30 minutes before I could "go outside and play" as a kid.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am curious and hopeful of how curious others are. I want to know what makes people tick, their history, what's been given and what was fought for, where they want to go and where they WANT to want to go. I hesitate to flatter myself by describing my eyes as "soul seaching," but I guess my hope for realized potential in others makes them appear that way.

A little more about me

I'm human. I have problems. I'm trying to be the husband and father I hope to be SOMEDAY. Marriage isn't an option for me yet, so this website may be the wrong place to look for my special someone. I would love to find a companion with their own journey. If this is you, we can help each other. I want to share everything, innermost thoughts and all. They have to come up someday right? I don't want to waste your time. I'm an open book and applaud the employment of your courage in asking honest questions. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you find what you're looking for, if it doesn't find you first.
