More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My family! I'm also involved with 4-h groups and breeding and showing pigs. Sounds pretty weird but I'm a down home country boy and I love to see kids get involved with agriculture and watching them succeed. There's nothing better than to watch kids be successful and see them develop confidence in thier own abilities.

I typically spend my leisure time

I don't have alot of leisure time but I love to golf and wish I could do it more. I love fishing with my boys, spending time with my daughters and my granddaughter. If I'd known being a grandpa was goig to be so much fun, I'd skipped being a dad and went right to grandpa.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty. Someone who looks for the simple pleasures of life. Someone who is not afraid of work and understands that relationships require work all the time. I think I'm a work in progrss and it's going to take a while to acheive perfection but the important thing is I'm always trying to be better.

The first thing people notice about me

My positive outlook on life. A long time ago a patron at the golf course taught me a life changing experence. He walked into the members room and exclaimed "It's a beautiful day." I responded " Pearce the winds blowing, it's raining, it's 38 degrees outside and I truly beleive that hell has froze over. He looked at me and said "you're alive aren't you"? I responded to the obvious, Yes! And he responded without missing a beat, "then it's a beautiful day". I've never forgotton that day as this old man taught me that each day is a gift, and not a gaurentee, so make the most of it and be positive.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Be you're best self by Thomas Monson. You don't have to be perfect in life. Always try to do your best' sometimes your best may not be good enough but at least you know you give it your best shot. If you've give it all you can then you're a champion.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My kids
  2. My health
  3. Living where I live

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That when I say "How are you doing I really mean it". I love to talk with other people and I'm truly interested in their well being. You never know when you may have an oppertunity to influence someones life. But better yet, what they may do to enrich yours.

Friends Describe me as

A little more about me

There's a lot I'd like people to know about me, but because I type with one finger it would take me forever to explain myself. Just doing this profile I've turned another year older.
