More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am very passionate about playing the piano, chasing my neices and nephews around when I'm home on leave, enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine with dinner. Mostly I just love being around people and learning about their lives and working hard to encourage them and give advice or a listening ear when needed.

I typically spend my leisure time

On a typical twelve hour work day, what I enjoy doing at the end of that is eating a little dinner and watching some news or tv before I go to bed. However, on my days off, I love to sleep in a little, spend extra time reading the Word and spending time with the Lord, run a couple of miles and walk on the beach when it's nice out. I also have somewhat of a habit of visiting my neighbors and having a drink with some of the wives in my neighborhood. Sundays, when I'm not on duty, I attend church and go to Bible study at a nearby base on Sunday and Friday nights when possible.

The most influential person in my life has been

Love and commitment to Jesus Christ that is evident in his life. His love for people will flow from God's love for him. Someone who is hospitable and socially mature is important to me as well.

The first thing people notice about me

Sweet, caring and smiling...generally good with people who are complete strangers.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Recently, I just finished reading God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew. It is an autobiography of a man who started out in the Dutch military and came to Christ during his time at a hospital recovering from injuries incurred in battle. He eventually penetrates the Communist countries with Bibles in their various indigenous languages. I was very encouraged and inspired by his faith and trust in God.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am most thankful to be in God's family because of the death and resurrection of Jesus
  2. Very thankful to be serving my country as a weather girl
  3. Very thankful for my precious family

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm not naive just because I have a warm disposition, but that I am as cunning as a serpant and use discretion.

Friends Describe me as

Articulate, Good listener, Loyal, Sweet
