More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm most passionate about discovering all that life has to offer. I grew up in the inner-city with little exposure to many of life's pleasures including the arts and other cultures. I suppose this is why i now find every opportunity to travel, explore, visit art galleries and attend musical events. There is still so much to explore...

I typically spend my leisure time

I generally enjoy spending my leisure time meeting with friends, attending sporting events and relaxing at home. I'm currently taking oil-painting and photography classes, but I'm still new enough to both hobbies to not call them leisure activities. Did i mention that both tend to induce more stress than long division? I also recently started attending concerts in small local venues. Even though most of the bands play a little louder and faster than i care for, it's still fun to be at a live show.

The most influential person in my life has been

The quality that i most look for in another person is compassion - Although it seems to be lacking in our world, I'd like to think that there are still a few folks that refuse to give up on humanity.

The first thing people notice about me

My firm handshake. I would have said my smile, but that would totally be cheating.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read is Former President Jimmy Carter's Palestine - Peace not Apartheid. The book not only provides an abbreviated history of the region, but also President Carter's current view on the Israeli - Palestinian issue. Although the book lends itself to a great deal of controversy, it does provide some insight into the issues surrounding the region's population. I was particularly intrigued by the historical data as i have become increasingly interested in history.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My amazing and supportive family.
  2. My education.
  3. TiVo

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My great sense of humor. My friends would say that my jokes are cheesy, but i think my humor is as Gouda(s) any...haha, get it?

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Loyal, Optimistic, Respectful

A little more about me

I socialize for a living so i tend to be less social after hours. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy social gatherings with family and friends, but I need a little "private time" to recharge my batteries. Have i mentioned that I'm a work-in-progress? Well, I am; aside from family and career, everything in my life is still up in the air. I enjoy the freedom of packing my bags and leaving town for a few days or weeks without telling anyone where it is that I'm off too. But as much as I enjoy having my passport as a true companion, it just isn't enough anymore. I'm most definitely ready to have someone equally as adventurous by my side.
