More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about discovering and creating a life that makes me happy and leaves me feeling fulfilled. I am passionate about creating a partnership with someone special. I am passionate about watching my adult children create their own wonderful and fulfilling lives.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy any number and types of activities. I am not a huge risk taker so no parachuting or bungie jumping in my repertoire. Some of the outdoor activities I enjoy include walking, hiking, biking, skiing, and exploring the Pacific NW. I like cooking/baking, movies, dining in/out, reading. I enjoy football and baseball. For me it isn't merely the activity that I find fun, it is always enhanced by the person I am with and the social context in which the activity occurs.

The most influential person in my life has been

The four "C's": Caring, Compassion, Commitment and Communication.

The first thing people notice about me

Perhaps that I can be relatively reserved, quiet and shy when meeting new people or in unfamiliar setting.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read a variety of genres ranging from leadership and mental health for work, to romance, mysteries and psychological thrillers for fun. Recently I read "Dry Ice" by Stephen White. It's a psychological thriller set in my hometime of Boulder, Colorado and is a fun and easy read. I've read "Living a Life That Matters" by Harold Kushner a couple of times for the inspiration and reminders for living the life I strive for.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for having healthy, happy children.
  2. I am thankful to live in a country/society that values choice.
  3. I am thankful to have the opportunity to reinvent myself professionally and personally over time.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am fun and possess a good sense of humor.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Dependable, Hard Working, Kind

A little more about me

I am blessed to do what I love and love what I do. I generally work and live from a "can do" attitude. I strive for transparency and open, honest communication in all that I do and work diligently to build consensus and create "win-win" for all involved.
