The one thing I am passionate about...
I am naturally motivated and curious about: thinking 'outside of the box'to address challenges and to find solutions. I enjoy embracing and really living life! I find all of God's creation intriguing and my family, fascinating! I am passionate about learning and about striving to make a positive difference. The arts have been a mode of personal expression and employment for most of my adult life. After having worked as an educator/program developer/teacher for many years, I currently enjoy a similar career that includes P.R. and marketing in the health industry. I am also passionate about avoiding a relationship catastrophe! Understand?
I typically spend my leisure time
Because my children are independent, gifted and mostly grown, my time is now spent (outside of work) as follows: being thankful, finishing 'the novel' everyone wants to write, readng and learning, taking care of and enjoying my pets (menagerie), gardening and decorating, writing poetry, prose and songs, painting and creating, inventing, exploring, helping and encouraging others in need - all while applying God's Word and wisdom to my life.
The most influential person in my life has been
An ambitious, creative, genuine man who cares about others and realizes how his life and resources are a gift that is meant to influence 'good'in this world and beyond. A 'gentle' man who takes care in being an honest and encouraging partner, friend, parent and/or co worker. Some one who understands the blessings inherent in a relationship and who doesn't take others for granted. A man who isn't afraid of acting on new ideas or strategies. He would have to appreciate nature and have an interest in and love for animals and for the out of doors. He would have to be willing to see and experience different cultures and places.
The first thing people notice about me
I am always described by others as a high energy, charismatic, fun, 'people person' who is creative, articulate, ecclectic, intelligent and eccentric.
The last book I read and enjoyed
An old book - "Acts of Faith" by Eric Segal was an awesome read because it contasted the cultural differences and similarities of two unlikely youth who became friends -- from devout Catholic and Jewish families. They each grew to become young leaders in their faith and then had their belief systems challenged, thereby providing the impetus for choosing new directions or ways of thinking about the impact of their spirituality and ultimately, authenticity. Segal's work is thoroughly researched and he writes intelligently and beautifully.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Thankful for a relationship with my Heavenly Father.
- Thankful for my family, friends and pets.
- Thankful for freedom to make choices.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That in my mind, it is not about 'me'. I really care about others and always try to consider the ultimate 'good' and how my life can impact other's lives and our world positively.
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Generous, Genuine, Spiritual
A little more about me
That I don't have time to be misled. I am only interested in 'the real deal'! It has been my choice to be alone for a season and while I value the opportunity for a good and lasting relationship, I would rather be alone than to compromise my integrity, values or peace. Unless a man has that same inclination, we should not waste one another's precious resource of time.
