The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm most passionate about my career. I am a self-employed web publisher (mostly fitness related websites). I get to work out of my home which is a really nice benefit of being self employed. I love what I do and I think I'm fortunate to be where I am today. Although I'm most passionate about my work, work doesn't run my life. I limit myself to only working weekdays and I enjoy spending my nights and weekends on "me time" or spend it with my partner and/or friends.
I typically spend my leisure time
I like to spend my leisure time watching movies (I love Netflix), watching the Food Network, playing hockey, working out, cooking, eating out, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I like equal amounts of both staying in and going out.
The most influential person in my life has been
There are lots of qualities I'm looking for. I'd say the most important quality that I am looking for in another person is someone that can communicate well. If a couple can communicate together they can work through pretty much anything. Coming in at second is honesty. I need someone who can communicate honestly about their needs, wants, desires, and everything else. I've learned in the past that when one or both partners do not communicate or are not honest when they communicate, the relationship suffers.
The first thing people notice about me
Probably that I am easy to talk to. I don't like to be the center of attention but I do enjoy talking to people and getting to know more about them. If appearance is included then it would be my smile. When I'm around people I like it's hard for me not to smile :)
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read was "10 Stupid things couples do to mess up their relationships" by Dr. Laura. It's about all the things couples do to hurt their relationship. It's funny to read some of the stories because they are, well, stupid. :) But lots of people do these things every day and it ends up hurting their relationship. I may not agree with everything Dr. Laura has to say, but I agree with many of her view points. Other then that I'm reading a book on Spain (I hope to travel there soon), The Da Vinci Code (slowly finishing it up), and I'm always buying new cookbooks.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Great parents that I feel did a wonderful job raising my sister and I.
- The opportunies I have been given (such as going to college).
- Good health.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I think I make an accurate first impression. There really isn't anything I can think of that people don't notice about me right away that I wish they would.
Friends Describe me as
Good listener, Hard Working, Loyal, Thoughtful
