More about me

I typically spend my leisure time

Watching the kids sporting events (that's winding down now), coaching, working on the house, golf, softball.

The most influential person in my life has been

Can't answer this with ONE quality. It's a combination of loyalty, honesty, warmth, with some laughter, resiliency and never say never mixed in.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm down to earth, speak my mind.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Yogi Berra: Eternal Yankee. I love Yogi-ism's like "nobody goes there anymore, that place is too crowded, ", "He hits from both sides of the plate. He's amphibious." "Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical." He (Yogi) was a great player but if you looked at him, you wouldn't pick him to be on your team in gym class. (do they still do that in school?)I love underdogs, and Yogi was the perfect case of not being able to tell a book by its cover.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My Family
  2. My Health
  3. Good friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I enjoy a good conversation that includes some back and forth matching of wits. In fact some people have even told me that I'm full of wit. All in good fun.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Genuine, Intelligent, Warm

A little more about me

That I don't feel comfortable with "dating services" online, and certainly don't want my picture on it. Maybe its denial, or a feeling that others might judge me as a failure to have to resort to this . For the record, I have no issue providing a picture to someone after some communication. I have to say that (at the risk of being asked to leave this site) I find the "must haves" and "can't stands" a waste of time and don't really read them. Anybody can click on anything and all it does is throw you in a pool with 10,000 others. I prefer fasttrack because its one on one and the "real" person needs to think on their feet.
