More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My passion lies in seeking out true/honest experiences in my life. I learn from the world around me near and far, give everything and everyone a chance, and when needed create immediate challenges in my life that force me to learn and grow. My friends and family are the life force of my passion - giving me opportunity to learn from them and with them. I am passionate about having a full life. Wow. That's a bit heavy. I can't say I'm perfect at any of it - but I give it my best go.

I typically spend my leisure time

Hanging out with friends, reading, watching movies, watching sports. Football games are must see/go when planning for fall leisure time. Although my team (see pics) - is awful and thankfully done for the year, so I'm afraid I have to stick to NFL/NHL this fall. So sad.

The most influential person in my life has been

I used to say open and honest - but after closing a few too many possibilities because of this - I have to say I'm looking for someone who understands that life is a journey and we need to be there to support each other through the ups and downs. Anybody who thinks we should have it all figured out by now has had a very lucky life.

The first thing people notice about me

My witty sarcasm.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Okay - so "read" as in finished would be "Touch and Learn, Tractors and Trucks". It was very educational. "Reading" would be The End of Faith by Sam Harris and Malcolm Gladwell's, Blink. Both are tough reads but they get a girl thinking. "Tractors and Trucks" wasn't as tough although I did have a hard time finding the 5th blue truck.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The love and kindness of my family and friends.
  2. My resilient nature.
  3. That I live in a world of relative peace and security in these times of change.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That my sarcasm is funny? ;) Okay - for the serious folks - I truly hope that when people first notice me they realize what they have seen is only the beginning of what I have to offer.
