More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about living a genuine life and being focused on being the the best person I can be. Not in a selfish sort of way, but by not sitting in judgment of others. I have values that are very important to me but I am not perfect. I've certainly made my shared of mistakes and I am sure that if I live my life fully and honestly, I will make more of them. I try to learn from them and use them to push myself beyond what feels safe to me. It seems the longer I live, the more tolerant I become and the less I enjoy being around others that feel the need to be negative about the choices others make.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm quiet - initially somewhat reserved.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Life Is Short, Wear Your Party Pants - Ten Simple Truths That Lead to an Amazing Life" by Loretta LaRoche. It was very uplifting because it reminded me to keep centered in the here and now. Although it is okay to be prepared for the future, I can't leave the future until it's here.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My spirituality - the faith I have that there is a God who is watching over me. Who lets me fail but who also wants me to prosper.
  2. My family - most especially my son. They have taught me and continue to teach me that unconditional love is possible. What an incredible gift it is to both give and receive it.
  3. A job and a profession that has provided me the opportunity to travel around the world and meet so many people that are so different from me. The opportunity to experience so many different cultures has shaped the person I am.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I have something to contribute to a conversation.

Friends Describe me as
