The one thing I am passionate about...
friends. the environment. hiking. coffee. kindness and honesty in the world. biking. libraries. positive attitudes. birdsong. tiny joys of life. backpacking. learning new things. coffee. thai food. chocolate, preferably dark. music. pets
I typically spend my leisure time
hiking, biking, reading, listening to music, cooking, garden/yard/house stuff. movies, hanging with friends, exercising, library/bookstores, Car camp and backpack exploration. Dining out. Making brownies with chile powder or cranberries.
The most influential person in my life has been
someone who is active, aware, independent, honest, genuine, funny (even goofy sometimes) respect towards self/others/environment. Intelligent (can you reverse this: fromysnar at the EXCITABLE domain?) give it a try! you gotta hike and/or bike! i don't own a tv so couch potato and I would not mix well. i wake up really early. i like to support my local restaurants, movie theaters, bookstores, thrift stores, etc. I am affectionate and would like my partner to be also. I tend towards the best friend/companion/lover model.
The first thing people notice about me
funny, good energy, friendly, easy to trust.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Recently read FLIGHT, by Sherman Alexie. Mindblowing, this native american author is so creative and really makes one think. (He also wrote screenplay for Smoke Signals, a great movie if you have not seen it.) Also, Kabul Beauty School, Naked in Bagdhad, The End of Faith. The Kite Runner, after getting through the very difficult part ( whew--made me cry, tough to handle, had to put it down for 2 weeks)well written, culturally interesting. friend gave it to me!
The three things which I am most thankful for
- living in the beautiful southwest
- having great supportive friends
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
hmm. not sure.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Genuine, Intelligent, Loyal
A little more about me
well, i am NOT religious, won't get along with a religious person. also, did this online thing once, wow--some mean men out there. I am NOT buxom, I have athletic build, don't wear makeup or heels ( just the dansko clogs) To be perfectly honest I do not like stupid people or those that cannot think for themselves. I am a tad unconventional (OK, like, I do not own a TV! ) I am physically very active, love the outdoors. Also environmentally conscious: bike commuter, recycler, think about my "footprint" on the earth. Do I sound like Al Gore here?
