More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Living a full life by maintaining great friendships, traveling, being outside, teaching about and working for justice & equity in public health, cooking and eating yummy meals, and listening to and dancing to good music.

I typically spend my leisure time

My "leisure time" can keep me pretty busy as I have a lot of interests. I love to travel, bike the backroads, browse around bookstores, dabble in photography and painting, cook for friends, see movies and plays, and dance!

The most influential person in my life has been

Communication...an ongoing dialogue, relationship stick-to-it-tiveness, a good sense of humor, flexibility and openness to change, respect, and a desire to travel and explore new places.

The first thing people notice about me

I imagine it would be my warm smile and friendly demeanor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I always have several books going at the same time. Currently, I'm reading "Pathologies of Power" - It is written by my public health hero, Paul Farmer.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My mother
  2. My friends
  3. My health

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor - people probably don't notice it right away because my wit can be subtle and dry.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Generous, Genuine, Intelligent
